Cultivate – A Festival of Food & Drink

Cultivate – A Festival of Food & Drink was a successful new festival developed through the utilization of the Partnership Allocation Program. The inaugural event, held on September 26 and 27, saw almost 1300 attendees, and featured Juno-award winning bands, food and drink vendors from Northumberland County and Peterborough City and County, and hosted food/drink related seminars and demonstrations. In addition to catching the eye (and heart) of several food bloggers, the festival also received a nomination for “Best New Festival” for Festivals & Events Ontario Awards, and became the first festival to receive OCTA’s Feast ON designation. To build off of the success of the event, Cultivate went on to extend their brand and offered Holiday Hampers made up of locally curated goods and brews (from providers in Northumberland County, and Peterborough County) and delivered throughout the region and beyond in December.
