FESTIVALS & EVENTS ONTARIO GUIDE

Festivals & Events Ontario (FEO) will be producing the 2018/2019 edition of the Festivals & Events in Ontario Guide in partnership with the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation (OTMPC). This one-of-a-kind consumer publication is the ultimate source for festival and event listings throughout Ontario.

This digest-sized, easy to carry, full-colour publication will have a 12-month shelf-life and will list festivals and events taking place from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019. Distribution of 225,000 copies, with an estimated readership of more than 500,000, is scheduled to begin in early March 2018 and will be available for download in web edition on the festivalsandeventsontario.ca and ontariotravel.net websites. The printed guides will be available through a broad distribution network, including the Festivals & Events Ontario website and office, the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation website at ontariotravel.net, information centers, call centers, associated tourism related channels throughout the province and US distribution along border states.

SUBMITTING YOUR FESTIVAL OR EVENT/ SELECTION CRITERIA

Please ensure that your festival/event(s) are submitted to the FESTIVALS AND EVENTS ONTARIO self-managed database/website at festivalsandeventsontario.ca AND to the ONTARIO TOURISM MARKETING PARTNERSHIP CORPORATION website at tourismpartners.com by Friday, December 1st, 2017 – DEADLINE. Please follow the steps below to complete your festival/event(s) updates!

STEP 1

SUBMIT YOUR FESTIVAL/EVENT(S) WITH THE ONTARIO TOURISM MARKETING PARTNERSHIP CORPORATION WEBSITE

Please ensure that you have listed your festival/event(s) with the OTMPC partner website at tourismpartners.com, and submit or update your event listing(s) by December 1, 2017.  Approved listing will be featured on the consumer site, ontariotravel.net.

Simple two-step process:
1.     Log-in to your account on tourismpartners.com
2.     Select Manage Events and follow the steps to update or add events for your organization

NOTE: you will need to submit an image (min. 1920×800 pixels, JPEG format, max 4MB, landscape orientation; no collages, logos or text) that reflects the visitor experience.

If you do not have an account, please REGISTER first on tourismpartners.com. Once you have been approved, you can log-in and submit your events. If you have any questions or need assistance, email: info@tourismpartners.com

MOBILE

Your event listing will be automatically added to our Discover Ontario mobile app. Centered around our festivals and events, the app makes it possible for the on the-ground traveler to discover nearby festivals and events, and to share with friends via Facebook and Twitter.

STEP 2

SUBMIT YOUR FESTIVAL/EVENT(S) WITH FESTIVALS & EVENTS ONTARIO

Simple two-step process:

1. Log-in – Access your FEO profile on ca.  Enter your email address and your password – If you have forgotten your password, click on the “Forgot Your Password”.  If you do not have an account, select “New Profile Registration” to create a new account.
2. Select the Festival Info Tab – to add, make changes, or to delete a listing. Please take time to review all the event details to ensure accuracy and completion.

Image requirements
We want your event to stand out so feel free to upload an action shot image/logo/thumbnail (ideal image size is 248 x 178 pixels) for each listing in a .jpeg format. The image must be legally yours and you are giving FEO permission to use it. Don’t have an image to upload at your fingertips just yet – not to worry! FEO has a series of preselected default images for your festival and event listings to draw your fest fans to your event which will automatically appear in your listing!

GUIDE CONSIDERATION

For a listing to be considered in the selection process of which festivals and events are to be included in the Guide, your Festivals or Events MUST be submitted to BOTH the festivalsandeventsontario.ca website and the tourismpartners.com website.

Please Note: Due to the large volume of festivals/events submitted each year and space limitations, not all DETAILED festival and event submissions will be printed in the Festivals and Events in Ontario Guide.

All festivals and events submitted will appear on the festivalsandeventsontario.ca  website within 48 hours once they have been saved. Simply perform an advanced search via the interactive map to find your listing on the Festivals & Events Ontario website.  Pending approval from Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation, your festival or event may also be listed on the ontariotravel.net website.
