Regional Ambassador Program

Regional Ambassador Training

This program was developed specifically for Kawarthas Northumberland to help increase visitor engagement and turn every encounter into a positive and lasting impression for each visitor to our region.

By improving the level of service and destination experience of our workforce we will increase visitation, length of stay and dollars spent within our region resulting in more jobs, more shifts and more dollars into our local tourism community.

This program reflects the commitment that Kawarthas Northumberland has in contributing to raising the service skills, and knowledge of what our destination offers to visitors, for each participant in the program.

During this half-day training, we will introduce Kawarthas Northumberland as a region, look at the unique experiences offered in each of the 3 areas that make up this region, discuss the visitor types we attract – what they are looking for and how to cater to their needs as well as discuss the available tools to help visitors plan their trip and access regional information.

Training sessions will be offered throughout the year. Make sure you have subscribed to our newsletter to find out the dates training is taking place. If you are interested in training your large workforce, contact partner@rto8.com to discuss a personalized training session for your staff.
