Join us for the inaugural Kawarthas Northumberland Regional Tourism Summit, Stronger Together: Shaping the Future of Rural Tourism, hosted by Regional Tourism Organization 8.
Visitor service providers within the accommodation, food & beverage, retail, attractions, festivals and events, guiding and agritourism sectors located within the Kawarthas Northumberland region are invited to attend the event for a day of insight, inspiration, and collaboration.
Held at the historic Cameco Capitol Arts Centre in downtown Port Hope, the summit will explore key opportunities and challenges shaping the tourism landscape in Kawarthas Northumberland.
Tickets include: entrance to the summit with keynote speaker and panels, continental breakfast, catered lunch, catered networking breaks, and access to the Tasters Market.

Regional Tourism Summit Parking
We recommend attendees use the free parking lots on Elias Street, behind City Hall, and at the Pulse Coffee House. These are highlighted in blue on the map.
Street parking in Port Hope is metered at $1 per hour with a maximum stay of four hours, and is shown in red on the map.
In addition to parking, the map also highlights pre- and post-event networking locations for attendees to enjoy. Be sure to take some time to explore Resilient Blooms—an outdoor interactive art walk and public exhibition—while you’re here!
Extend Your Stay
The Summit wraps up at 4:30 pm—an ideal opportunity to discover some of the excellent dining options nearby. From casual cafés and pubs to fine dining, there’s something for every taste.
Consider turning your Summit experience into a getaway by arriving the night before or staying through the weekend. Hotel Carlyle & Restaurant will offer a 15% discount on any room bookings Oct 20, 21 and/or 22nd (2025).
