We are excited to be introducing a suite of bilingual self-paced courses over the fall and winter as we rebuild our industry’s capacity and rebound from COVID-19. RTO8 stakeholders – tourism businesses, organizations, associations, and professionals located within Kawartha Lakes, Peterborough City or County and Northumberland County – will have free access to these courses until March 31, 2022.
Regional Tourism Organization (RTO8) is pleased to offer Acceler8, a community based Business Mentoring Program This program is geared to existing tourism sector businesses within the Kawarthas Northumberland region. The tourism industry was one of the hardest hit by the pandemic and as we focus on recovery, we believe a mentoring program can help your business rebuild and achieve business growth.
The Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO) seeks the views of current and former employees in Ontario’s tourism and hospitality industry to complete an anonymous and confidential survey to understand the challenges faced by those working in the tourism and hospitality industry, increased pressures during the pandemic, and how these factors might contribute to the current labour crisis. TIAO will share the results of the survey with the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development and the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries to help inform government decision-making to address the labour crisis.
